Isalys “Isa” Pagani LPC (she/her/hers) Isa received her Masters in Counseling from Saint Edward’s University. Isa is a Certified DBT therapist and intensively trained in RODBT. She has provided therapy both in private practice settings and at the IOP level of care. Isa has CBT training and is level 1 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Isa always considers each client’s individual needs, and when relevant she utilizes other theories she has studied, including attachment theory, IFS, narrative therapy, and existential philosophy. Isa strongly believes in meeting her clients where they are, maintaining a non-judgmental atmosphere, and building a strong relationship. This approach has led to productive therapeutic relationships that help her clients meet their goals. Isa received her Bachelors degree from Cornell University, and her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, both degrees were in comparative literature (French Literature and Philosophy). Before becoming a therapist, Isa worked as a professor for eight years. Isa has published extensively on moral theory, particularly as it relates to anger, forgiveness, justice, and other conciliatory actions and emotions. Isa’s background in the humanities informs her approach to therapy. She firmly believes that articulating, examining, and—at times—adapting one’s behaviors and beliefs, in a manner that better reflects one’s deeply held core values, is key to leading one’s best life. Isa offers therapy in both French and English, and works with both couples and individuals. Isa is licensed to provide therapy in Texas and Colorado. In her free time Isa plays chess and piano, fosters dogs for APA, and enjoys spending time with her two teenage children. Areas of Expertise:
