She is a DBT Specialist with training in RODBT and has provided therapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and groups. Maeve has received significant training and supervision in DBT. Her clinical experience includes both private practice and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care, with neurodiversity as one of her specialty areas. Maeve is Level 1 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Maeve takes a human-centered approach to treatment and views herself and her clients as teammates in the therapeutic process. She brings clinical expertise and evidence-based behavioral therapy methods, while clients bring their lived experience and willingness to engage in the work. Her approach is rooted in DBT and RODBT, with a focus on providing clients with concrete skills for coping with distress, improving interpersonal dynamics, and reducing vulnerabilities to mental health symptoms. Maeve believes that strong therapeutic rapport, a nonjudgmental space, and holding the dialectic between validation and personal growth are essential for successful treatment outcomes. Maeve also has a passion for working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples navigating topics related to sexuality, gender identity, and self acceptance. She provides an affirming space for clients exploring experiences such as compulsory heterosexuality (comphet), internalized homophobia, gender dysphoria, and the impact of restrictive gender norms. She understands firsthand how difficult it can be to untangle identity from societal expectations and works collaboratively with clients to help them build a more authentic and self-compassionate relationship with themselves. Maeve works with clients ages 16+ and offers virtual individual and couples therapy. Her availability is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST, and Fridays from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM CST. She welcomes early birds! Maeve also facilitates a weekend Adolescent RODBT Skills Class; adolescents ages 14 and older are welcome if they are currently enrolled in high school.
