Maeve Larkin, LCSW (she/her/hers)
Maeve earned her Master’s in Social Work from Boston College. She is a DBT Specialist with training in RODBT and has provided therapy to adolescents, adults, and groups. Her clinical experience includes both private practice and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care, with neurodiversity as one of her specialty areas. Maeve is currently completing Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Maeve takes a human-centered approach to treatment and views herself and her clients as teammates in the therapeutic process. She brings clinical expertise and evidence-based behavioral therapy methods, while clients bring their lived experience and willingness to engage in the work. Her approach is rooted in DBT and RODBT, with a focus on providing clients with concrete skills for coping with distress, improving interpersonal dynamics, and reducing vulnerabilities to mental health symptoms. Maeve believes that strong therapeutic rapport, a nonjudgmental space, and holding the dialectic between validation and personal growth are essential for successful treatment outcomes. Maeve works with clients ages 16+ and offers virtual individual and couples therapy. Her availability is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST, and Fridays from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM CST. She welcomes early birds! Maeve also facilitates a weekend Adolescent RODBT Skills Class; adolescents ages 14 and older are welcome if they are currently enrolled in high school. A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available at times. Please contact Maeve directly to inquire about availability. Maeve identifies as gay, an ADHDer, and Dyslexic. Outside of work, Maeve enjoys making tiny clay figurines, cold plunges (they’re shockingly relaxing), dabbling in stand-up comedy, traveling, and exploring new cafés and restaurants.
